Designed to secure safety standards, a winter test facility has introduced a mandatory training course that gives testers the opportunity to enhance their driving skills As part of its continuous efforts to remain a worldwide leader in cold climate testing, last season Colmis Proving Ground introduced mandatory driving training for all industry professionals intending to use its testing facilities. The safety initiative received the immediate support of its customers and during the 2016/2017 winter season more than 300 test drivers have already completed the course, which comprises crucial knowledge on vehicle safety and control when driving on ice and snow surfaces and in different conditions and scenarios. After completing the course, drivers receive a Colmis Cold-Climate Driving License, which must be shown, on each stay, upon registration at the reception desk of the proving ground.
