Producers to maintain prices in July

In June, producers have raised prices for 57-108 mm GOST 10704(05)welded pipes by 11-23% due to the shortage of strip.Tight supply of coils was the main reason behind the hike in plants' prices forwelded pipes of June production. In view of delays in strip deliveries seensince late May, some producers have failed to make the pipes booked byboth domestic and foreign consumers last month. Extremely low stock levels atplants have also favoured speculations in the market. Provided the marketsupply remains deficient, producers will try to retain exorbitant prices.
