Seventy-eight papers and posters from the Sixth International ISHS Symposium on the Processing Tomato and 16 papers from the workshop on Irrigation and Fertigation of Processing Tomato are presented. The symposium was organized into 4 sessions: Physiology and molecular biology of the tomato; Crop management, disease control, harvest and transport; Genetics and breeding of processing tomatoes; and Processing technology for tomato products. The workshop consisted of one session on irrigation systemsand scheduling, and one on irrigation, fertigation, water quality and crop response.
