Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition,Australian National Maritime Museum,Pyrmont,NSW,until 25 August.The largest wildlife photography competition in the world,on loan from the Natural History Museum in London,the 54th Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition features 100 photographs,shortlisted from over 50,000 entries from 92 countries.It celebrates the diversity of the natural world,from intimate animal portraits to astonishing wild landscapes.The competition has grown exponentially from its launch in 1965 which saw 361 entries.www.sea.museum/wildlife Endangered by Tamara Dean,Martin Browne Contemporary,Paddington,NSW,25 July-18 August.The series featured in this exhibition is a refraining of the notion of ourselves as human beings-mammals in a sensitive ecosystem,as vulnerable to the same forces of climate change as every other living creature.Dean says that the work speaks of her most fundamental concerns and values-her love for the environment and her deep concern for our planet.
