After building a company-record-setting 10,000 CNC machine tools in 2005, Haas Automation Inc. produced 25 percent more units last year while increasing revenue nearly 30 percent to more than 740 million dollars. To achieve that level, Haas expanded its facility in Oxnard, Calif., where all 12,500-plus units were produced, by 211,000 sq. ft. to 1 million sq. ft. The company also expanded its staff slightly and now has 1,200 employees, said Scott Rathburn, Haas' product marketing manager.
