3D video display of sports scene using multiple video cameras

We introduce a novel method to describe the 3D shape with planes for synthesizing a novel view from a virtual viewpoint. A space sweep approach is employed to reconstruct the 3D shape estimation. We consider about the best layout of the sweep planes for a virtual viewpoint. We have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposal layout by using 3D CG model. A method for synthesizing a novel view from the multiple videos is also described with some experimental results.
