The European Region has had a very active year of conferences, educational events and student activities. The key issues that face the region are: 1. Promotion of Active membership 2. Managing transition from Student to Professional membership 3. Expanding membership in Eastern Europe 4. Broadcasting products and services 5. Education, particularly in Eastern Europe 6. Provision of services/support to Student Chapters 7. Identifying European lecturers and visiting geoscientists.
