DALLAS-In the unconventional realm of oil and gas, conventional wisdom keeps shouting the same two words: Permian; Stack. Derek Detring, president of Detring & Associates LLC, ended his presentation at Hart Energy’s A&D Strategies and Opportunities Conference in Dallas on Sept. 8 by noting his company has a couple of deals coming up. “One will be 3,200 mineral acres in the Scoop and the Stack … also about 4,800 mineral acres in the core of the Midland Basin, Midland County, Martin County” and elsewhere, he said.
