Flexible tyres transfer more power to soil

Tougher, larger-volume and more flexible tyres are helping big four-wheel drive tractors put down increasing amounts of power and torque.Faced with extremes of weight, rim torque and draft forces while challenged to work within a restrictive size envelope, designers have come up with more sophisticated carcass structures and materials in tyres that keep these tractors competitive with tracked machines of similar power in terms of traction, flotation and mobility.
