Lake Image Systems improves press productivity for Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group

The Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) has implemented a camera-based data-verification system from Lake Image Systems to read, inspect and verify variable data that is inkjet printed on to prepaid telephone cards, which are produced on its Edale Beta Press. The existing system consisted of four low-resolution cameras, which were unable to meet the stringent inspection demands. They were replaced with one advanced 8K line-scan camera from Lake Image Systems, capable of scanning the full width of the web at significantly higher resolutions, improving overall readability, and enabling superior operational flexibility and efficiency.
