The person completing the record may want to share some documents with you prior to the discussion.If they do,it would help to look through them and think of some questions to guide the conversation.If you are the registrant's line manager,the peer discussion must be separate from their annual appraisal.The discussion should take around one hour.Ask the registrant open questions about their practice,and successes or challenges,for example: 1.What happened? 2.Who was involved? 3.Why did you decide to do it that way? 4.Were there any other options? 5.What happened next? 6.What did you do in response? 7.How do you think that made them feel? 8.What would you do differently? 9.What were the final outcomes?-What successes have you had this year?-How has this affected people using your service?
