New York—Crude futures settled higher Monday as storage concerns eased amid slowing US crude builds. NYMEX June WTI settled 61 cents higher at $20.39/b, and ICE July Brent was up 76 cents on the day at $27.20/b. US commercial crude stocks are expected to climb 7.1 million barrels to around 534.7 million barrels during the week ended May 1, analysts surveyed by Platts said. While US crude stocks are expected to build for a 15th consecutive week last week, the rate of increase has slowed since early April, when 19.25 million barrels flowed into storages.
