London—Molybdenum oxide prices drifted lower on Thursday with little interest for oxide powder in Europe and Asia. The Platts Daily Dealer Molybdenum Oxide assessment was at $10.70-$10.80/ lb on Thursday from $10.70-$10.90/lb on Wednesday. “There is no aggressive seller yet, but people are not interested in buying at the moment,” an Asian trader source said. Others said that while there was talk of $10.60/kg offered in Asia, they had not received the offer and considered it too low. In Europe, market participants said a steel mill had released a tender for briquettes but they had not heard the concluded price.
