Indian iron ore miner EMIL to begin sales from acquired pellet plant: sources

Singapore—India’s Essel Mining & Industries Ltd. (EMIL) is likely to begin commercial sales of pellets in November after the acquisition of a beneficiation and pellet plant earlier in 2019, several market participants said Nov. 3. The 1 million mt/year iron-ore beneficiation plant integrated with a 1 million mt/year pellet facility is located at Basantpur in Odisha and was previously owned by Pro Minerals, which did not have access to its own iron ore mines.
