London—US miner Arch Resources said Nov. 3 operations resumed at the Beckley low-vol coking coal mine in West Virginia less than a week after a safety notice and miner evacuation, following methane inspections. Arch's Beckley Pocahontas mine, in Raleigh County, on Oct. 29 received an imminent danger order under the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977, after self-reporting an increase in methane levels to the US Mine Safety & Health Administration, in a statement.
