London—Import prices for Turkish import scrap inched down on Monday as the majority of market players remained on the side-lines. S&P Global Platts assessed Turkish imports of premium heavy melting scrap 1/2 (80:20) at $289.75/mt CFR Monday, down 75 cents/mt day on day. Market players hoping for fresh price orientation with the start of the week were largely left in the dark amid a silent market with no fresh offers and bids and few price indications.
