London—Import prices for Turkish imported ferrous scrap were stable Thursday despite some buying interest observed in the market. S&P Global Platts assessed Turkish imports of premium heavy melting scrap 1/2 (80:20) at $299.50/mt CFR Thursday, unchanged from Wednesday. After a quiet start to the week, several Turkish mills were heard to inquire for material, for both January shipment and February shipment, while very few offers were in the market, according to market sources.
