Iranian miner starts up new direct-reduced iron plant

London—Iranian iron ore miner Golgohar Mining & Industrial Co. has started trial production at the second production line of its direct reduced iron (DRI) plant, according to a company statement. The new plant’s capacity is 2 million mt/ year for the $166 million investment, called Kousar.
