Italy 2019 crude steel output below forecasts as output cuts bite: Federacciai

Italian crude steel production in 2019 dropped 5.2% year on year to 23.24 million mt, according to the latest figures released by Italian steel association Federacciai, as the year ended with output cuts.In October the association had predicted a decline of 4%-4.5%.Output of flat steel products in 2019 dropped 4.8% year on year to 10.62 million mt, while longsproduction fell 1.6% to 12.20 million mt.
