Sakhalin-1 Budget Approved

With just a month to go before the arrival of 2011, Russia has finally removed some major stumbling blocks and approved the 2010 budget for the Exxon-led Sakhalin-1 project on the country's Pacific shelf. An authorized state body (ASB), which acts as the project's supervisory board, gave a nod not only to the Sakhalin-1 budget for 2010 but also to the project's revised devel- opment and production plan, Russia's energ ministry said in a statement.
