Crude, Products Rebound on European News, Volumes Still Low

Benchmark crude oil and product prices rebounded strongly yesterday, following a two-day losing streak, on positive economic news from Europe and a broadly weaker US dollar. Front month Nymex September crude futures increased $1.37 to settle at $78.36 per barrel, while ICE Brent rose $1.53 to to $77.59. On the US product front, Nymex August gasoline climbed to $2.0974 per gallon, up 3.40￠ on the day, while heating oil increased 4.08￠ to $2.0372.
