Nucleoside analogues are an effective treatment against HBV infection. However, previous studies have yielded inconclusive results regarding a reduction in the risk of HCC recurrence following the use of these treatments due to the small number of patients. Using a nationwide cohort, Dr Wu and colleagues1 reported survival benefits for patients treated with nucleoside analogues. We have 2 comments to make regarding their findings.
