Losartan vs Candesartan for heart failure

To the Editor: Mr Svanstrom and colleagues1 reported that losartan was not associated with increased all-cause mortality compared with candesartan in patients with a diagnosis of heart failure based on International Classification of Disease (ICD) codes. This contrasts with previous data from our group2 and others.
