The first phase of construction of Baosteel ZhanjiangIron & Steel which had been constructed by Baoshan Iron &Steel (Baosteel) was completed, and blowing-in of its No.1 blastfurnace (BF) (with an inner volume of 5,050 m3) is carried out.Baosteel celebrates the 30th anniversary from the blowing-in ofits No.1 BF on September 15, 1985 and transfers a flame of theBaosteel’s BF to a Zhanjiang No.1 BF with the wishes of inheritanceof the spirit at that time when people had strived nationbuildingthrough hardship.
