ALL THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT NON-MEDICAL PRESCRIBING

THIS academic book is written and edited by nurses and pharmacists based at the University of Central Lancashire. Because of the way in which it is written, it could potentially be used as part of undergraduate teaching as well as, of course, for its intended purpose of teaching students on non-medical prescribing courses. The text contains nine chapters and a short section of stand-alone case studies. A third of the pages are devoted to the description and contextualisation of prescribing, legal and professional issues, and influences on prescribing. A short chapter then describes effective consultations, with a large chunk of the rest of the book devoted to explaining underpinning clinical knowledge and more contextualisation through chapters on the multidisciplinary prescribing team and enhancing non-medical prescribing.
