Re: Percutaneous ablation of renal masses measuring 3.0 cm and smaller: Comparative local control and complications after radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation

This large series from a group experienced with radio frequency ablation and cryoablation clearly demonstrates that there are no differences between the technologies regarding complication and local recurrence-free rates. The decade of debate about which technology is more effective is over. This 10-year study, along with other recent publications I have highlighted in this section, confirms that RFA and cryoablation are equally effective. Tumor location and size are the driving factors.
