To the Editor: In a recent editorial comment Dr. Patrick Walsh quoted me as saying, "a number of urology offices that own their own labs hire the 'cheapest pathologists possible.'" This statement was followed by a true but anecdotal poor experience I had witnessed from one of these labs. Although Dr. Walsh quoted me accurately, I did not present to him a more balanced representation of my viewpoint, which this Letter seeks to redress.
