Benign renal schwannoma

A 36-year-old female presented with fever of unknown origin, general malaise and right flank discomfort 4 to 5 days after in-vitro fertilization treatment. On further questioning, she also reported occasional fevers and night sweats during the last year. Evaluation elsewhere indicated microscopic hematuria and renal ultrasound showed a complex cystic lesion in the upper pole of the right kidney. The remainder of the examination was negative including no signs of urinary tract infection or leuko-cytosis.
