Ferrochrome

Due to falling and volatile nickel prices over the past few months, stainless steel mills have destocked and due to current uncertainly over the direction of nickel prices, mills have adopted a hand-to-mouth policy when procuring stainless steel raw materials, including ferrochrome. Thus in essence the nickel market weakness, combined with general continued macroeconomic malaise in Europe, is currently driving the ferrochrome markets.
