World's first biocomposite bridge installed in Eindhoven

THE world's first fully biocomposite footbridge can be found on the Eindhoven University of Technology campus. The bridge, which was officially opened on 27 October, is fourteen meters long and is made from a hemp and flax-fiber base. The new bio-bridge, as it is known, is the result of collaboration between a large number of knowledge institutions and companies.
