THE large numbers of emulsion polymers are manufactured on the commercial scale for various applications. However the available technologies are still finding it challenging to produce these polymers by using different manufacturing processes. To develop a specific product quality, the manufacturing process has to be designed and standardized. Emulsion polymerization is comparatively difficult to manufacture products with a consistent quality. Moreover, besides the chemistry the state of art plays an important role in achieving the polymer having a similar particle size and particle distribution, molecular weight, mechanical properties and overall performance.
