Zarubezhneft drops Bosnia upstream JV with Serbia’s NIS

Moscow-Russia’s Zarubezhneft has decided to leave an upstream project in the Republika Srpska region of Bosnia and Herzegovina, having achieved no commercial flows from three blocks it explored jointly with NIS, the Serbian subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, leaving NIS still considering its options. “Upon considering the project at Zarubezhneft’s research and development board in 2015 the geological prospects of the studied areas were recognized as low, given which a decision was taken to leave the project,” Zarubezhneft said in its 2015 report published late Monday.
