Houston-Rangeland Energy has entered an open season on its RIO Pipeline, the company said Tuesday. The pipeline will carry more than 125,000 b/d of crude and condensate from Rangeland’s RIO State Line terminal in Loving County, Texas, to Midland in July. Ultimately, the pipeline will originate further north at the RIO Hub, Rangeland said in a statement. Rangeland has already started building the RIO Pipeline. Even before the open season, it had an anchor shipper in Delek Logistics, which will own 33% of the pipeline and supporting infrastructure. That meant the company didn’t need to use an open season to gauge interest in the pipeline, Rangeland spokeswoman Casey Nikoloric said.
