New York-The US crude surplus continued to tightened last week as refiners were running at an all-time high, US Energy Information Admin- istration data showed Wednesday. US crude inputs averaged 17.08 million b/d the week ending July 31, exceeding combined crude production and imports of 16.65 million b/d. As a result, refiners dipped into storage, and US stocks fell 4.41 million barrels to 455.28 million barrels. That left inventories at 84% of working capacity and 69% of adjusted working capacity.
