Maersk to cut workforce on price drop

Copenhagen—Denmark’s Maersk Oil said Monday it was shedding up to 12% of its staff globally by the end of next year because of the drop in oil prices. The company, a unit of international conglomerate A.P. Moller-Maersk, declined to comment on whether the cuts would have any impact on production beyond 2015.
