Essar plans 10 ppm gasoil exports

Singapore—India’s privately owned refiner Essar Oil is planning to start exports of 10 ppm sulfur gasoil and gradually reduce 500 ppm gasoil exports from the end of this year or early next year after completing some upgrade works at its Vadinar refinery, market sources said Tuesday. “I think officially [it] will be next year, where they will toggle between 500 ppm and 10 ppm. But I won’t be surprised if they have a test cargo here and there before that,” a Singapore-based trader said, adding that Essar Oil has not yet decided on the mix of 500 ppm and 10 ppm grades.
