Lower than expected injection raises us gas storage

Knoxville, Tennessee—A 72-Bcf injection came in lower than expected but lifted US gas storage inventories to 3.725 Tcf for the week ending October 5, the Energy Information Administration said. The net build was below consensus projections between 76 Bcf and 80 Bcf. A year earlier, EIA reported a 108-Bcf injection, while the five-year average is 84 Bcf.
