Mumbai—India’s state-owned refiner Manga-lore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited hasdeclared a force majeure on crude feedstocksupply as well as refined product deliveriesafter shutting its 15 million mt/year (300,000b/d) refinery due to a water shortage, one ofMRPL’s directors said April 20.The company’s managing director, U.K.Basu, had said April 19 that the refinery wasfully shut and that the company was trying todefer crude deliveries into the plant at Man-galore on the west coast of the country, andthat oil product shipments would be delayed.
