Sasol, Petronas move forward on Uzbek GTL

London-South Africa's Sasol and Malaysia's Petronas have signed an investment agreement for the development of a 1.4 million mt/ year gas-to-liquids (GTL) project in Uzbekistan, moving the long-awaited project forward to the next phase. If the partners take the final investment decision following front end engineering and design work, the plant could be operational in the second half of this decade, Sasol said in a statement September 19.
