BP restarts Valhall, Hod oil fields after July fire

London-BP has restarted its Valhall and Hod oil fields offshore Norway after a shut-in lasting more than two months caused by a major fire that broke out in July. Valhall, together with Hod, was producing around 60,000 b/d of oil equivalent before the incident, mainly oil with some gas (ON 7/15). BP said at the time production at Valhall and the linked Hod field had been suspended until further notice until the causes of the incident were established.
