London-Two large deals announced December 13 in the European oil services sector point to continued consolidation in the industry. UK oil service company John Wood Group said it has signed an agreement to acquire Scotland's Productions Services Network (PSN) for $955 million including debt, while UK oil services company Well- stream said it has agreed to a $1.3 billion takeover offer from the US' GE.
