Moscow-Russia's Gazprom finally conceded officially February 5 that it would delay the startup of the giant Shtokman gas field in the Barents Sea by three years, following increasing speculation about the future of the project amid uncertain natural gas demand forecasts.The partners in Shtokman Development- Gazprom with 51%, France's Total (25%) and Norway's Statoil (24%)-said the first pipeline gas from Shtokman is now expected in 2016 and first LNG production in 2017.
