US gas storage inventories see first winter withdrawal

Washington-The heating season's first net withdrawal left US natural gas storage invento- ries at 3.837 Tcf for the week ended Novem- ber 19, the Energy Information Administration reported November 24. The 6 Bcf drawdown was larger than con- sensus expectations, which ranged from a 3 Bcf pull to a 1 Bcf build. This time last year, EIA reported a 5 Bcf injection, while the five-year average for the week is a drawdown of 13 Bcf.
