Washington-US-based oil and gas companies have been relatively less successful than non- US based oil companies and national oil companies in securing new investment opportunities under existing US tax policies, according to a report released September 22 by Cambridge Energy Research Associates. “It always comes back to assessment of value,” David Hobbs, CERA's chief energy strategist and a co-author of the report, said during a telephone briefing.
