摘要

Bulgaria, hardly an energy powerhouse, may nonetheless have a critical role to play in the future development of Europe's energy markets as its newly elected center-right government begins a review of two major Russia-backed infrastructure projects. Big ticket energy projects-specifically the South Stream natural gas pipeline and the Burgas-Alexandroupolis oil link-agreed with Russia under Bulgaria's last administration, are now under review because the new pro-European ruling party led by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov "does not trust the old government," a Bulgarian Energy Ministry spokeswoman told Platts this month.
