Lagos-Nigeria January 20 named top geologist Billy Agha as the new head of the country’s oil industry regulatory agency, the Department of Petroleum Resources. The Ministry of Petroleum Resources said the appointment of Agha, previously head of the Gas Division in the DPR, took effect from January 1. As well as regulating operations in the Nigerian oil industry, the DPR monitors and supervises oil loadings at the country’s six export terminals.
