Dubai-The Saudi Arabian crude tanker hijacked in the Indian Ocean November 15 is now off the coast of Somalia as the vessel's owners wait for word from the pirates on their demands. A spokesman for the US Navy 5th Fleet said November 18 the vessel was anchored near the Somali town of Harardhere, which he described as a known "pirate stronghold." Vela International, the shipping arm of state oil company Saudi Aramco and owner of the tanker, said all 25 crew members on board the Sirius Star were believed to be safe.
