International crude: Med sweets gain on cheaper shipping

Sweet crude in the Mediterranean moved higher Monday as traders cited the drop in shipping rates helping increase interest from outside the region. "Lower shipping should help demand," a trader said. Azeri Light and CPC Blend traders said that only last-decade July barrels are left unsold although two cargoes of Azeri may be left in the second decade.
