Storage interest for gasoil in Asia showed no signs of abating Wednesday, as trading sources said economics were still attractive to push barrels into tanks. But the upward momentum on the front assessed contango appeared to taper off Wednesday, narrowing just 3 cents/barrel on the day to minus 85 cents/b at the close of Asian trading. With land storage fees around 70-75 cents/b, industry participants have been buying intermonth gasoil spreads creating a groundswell of support that has worked to strengthen paper values, said traders.
