Sadara Starts Up Mixed Feed Cracker At Jubail Industrial Chem Complex

Jubail—Dow Chemical announced that its Sadara Chemical Co. joint venture with Saudi Aramco has commissioned a new mixed feed cracker at its $20-billion chemical complex in Jubail, Saudi Arabia (PCN, 27 June; 2016, p 2). The cracker is one of 26 manufacturing units being built at the complex. It is the "heart" of the complex and "the single-most important component that underpins our vision to be a game changer within the local and regional chemical industry," noted Sadara Chief Executive Ziad Al-Labban.
